Student Terms

1. Ways to pay

Your profile becomes publicly visible once it is complete, includes a photograph, your email is confirmed and the rules are accepted. Visibility is not paid for, and the list of waiting patients is visible with a free profile. To request a connection with a patient, a valid card stored with the payment provider is required. Taking on a waiting patient requires an active subscription. Storing a card does not take any money. The subscription is €80 per month and begins automatically at your first connection made, charged to the stored card and renewing monthly. The subscription unlocks paid placement (it only runs if you have funded a separate advertising budget and set a bid) and the ability to answer waiting patients. There is no separate fee per connection. Prices are shown on the For students page and may change with advance notice.

2. Payment and renewal

Payments are processed by Stripe. The subscription renews automatically every month until explicitly cancelled. The platform does not store card data.

3. Failed payment

After a failed payment there is a 1-day grace period with automatic retries. If payment is not settled the subscription ends: paid placement and the ability to answer waiting patients stop. The ability to request new connections also stops until payment is settled. The list of waiting patients itself stays visible with a free profile. Your profile stays publicly visible — visibility does not depend on payment.

4. Cancelling the subscription

You may cancel the subscription at any time from the customer portal. The services it includes continue until the end of the period already paid for. Your profile remains publicly visible afterwards — visibility does not depend on a subscription.

5. Referring another student

If you register on another student’s referral, your first month is reduced by €10. For each student you referred who is paying a subscription, your monthly fee is reduced by €10 — the reduction begins after the referred student’s first successful payment and applies for as long as their subscription is active; if they stop paying, the reduction ends. At most three referrals count at any one time, so the monthly fee does not fall below €50. A reduction is earned only for a subscription that has actually been paid for. A referral counts only if you were already a paying subscriber at the moment the other student registered; a link shared before your subscription starts does not create a referral, and it cannot be recognised afterwards. The referral reduction does not combine with the founder discount: where the founder discount is applied to a given month, no referral reduction is applied for that month. Reductions have no cash value and are not transferable. Referring yourself, or a profile created in order to obtain a reduction, does not qualify; where there is doubt the reduction may be refused. If the programme is discontinued, referrals already counted continue to apply for as long as those subscriptions remain active.

6. Stored card and charging

When you request a connection with a patient, your card is stored with the payment provider without any amount being taken. If the patient accepts, the €80 subscription begins and is charged to that card, including when you are not at your device at that moment. If the patient does not reply or declines, nothing is charged and the card remains stored for a future request. You may remove the card at any time from “Billing”; while no card is stored you cannot request new connections. A connection request expires 7 days after it is sent if the patient has not responded; nothing is charged and you may send a new request.

7. One active connection, and replacement

A patient may hold only one active connection at a time. Several students may request a connection with the same patient; a subscription begins only for the student who is accepted. If the patient later chooses a different student, the earlier connection is marked superseded — the earlier student keeps the contact details already received. The platform is not responsible for the patient’s conduct after a connection is made.

8. Profile visibility

Public visibility requires a confirmed email address, a complete profile that includes a photograph of you, accepted rules and a profile that is not suspended. It does NOT require payment. The subscription determines the ability to answer waiting patients and paid placement. A stored card is required in order to request a connection. The list of waiting patients itself is visible with a free profile. Verification is not a condition of visibility — it adds a verified badge and access to X-rays shared by a patient.

9. Paid placement in the platform

Paid placement is a separate, optional service. It is not part of the subscription and is not a condition of it. It buys one thing only: position in the list of results within UniDent. It works as a bid: your position depends on your offer relative to other students bidding for the same city and case type, so no specific position is guaranteed and it may change at any time. The amount is deducted weekly from credit you have loaded in advance. Paid results are labelled as such to patients. Paid placement does NOT include the creation of advertising material, the publication of adverts, or advertising spend on Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Google or any other external platform. If such a service is offered separately, it is governed by a separate agreement and is not covered by these terms. Loaded credit is non-refundable.

10. No guarantees and no refunds

The subscription does not guarantee treatment requests, visits, patients or any outcome. The number of requests depends on patient demand and other circumstances outside the platform’s control. Subscription fees already paid are non-refundable — in whole or pro rata — including where no requests were received during the period or the profile was not used; on cancellation the service continues until the end of the paid period. This applies equally where the subscription began automatically at the first connection. Where the platform charges in error through a technical failure, the amount is returned; that is not an exception to the above but the correction of something that was never delivered. Rights granted by mandatory provisions of law remain unaffected.
